The outer layer is a strong and flexible water-repellent fabric reinforced by the middle layer; a waterproof and breathable membrane that effectively keeps out the rain, but transports sweat away and allows your skin to breathe. Inner layer is a smooth seal against the clothes you wear under the jacket.
